SITUATION, ACCESS  HOW TO REACH US .

The diving centre is on the seaside, ideally situated alongside the main parking-lot of the harbour where you can reach us by car or by coach if you come as a group . Both our boats lie right in front of the centre, five meters away !

Our Centre is one of the closest to the famous diving spots such as the Parc National de Port-Cros, la Gabinière (islet),  the Togo, Rubis, Donator, Grec  (our most famous wrecks) ...

How to reach « Le Lavandou » : You can take a train down to Toulon, then a local coach will take you right in front of the Information Centre, 100 metres aways from the centre. By car, drive down the N 98 from Toulon to Le Lavandou. If you arrive by plane, the Toulon-Hyères airport is 20 minutes away from Le Lavandou by bus.

THE MEN IN CHARGE

They are fully qualified: Brevets d'Etat, 2ème or 1er degré (State Degree), diplômés fédéraux FFESSM (French Federation Degree) , also PADI, LIFRAS (Belgian Federation), plus a FFESSM biology degree . Most important, they have a long experience with the sea-world and they have been diving for many years and still do .

EQUIPMENT

The Lavandou International Diving Centre has got two boats specially fitted for diving and an R.I.B. for surface safety purposes. The boats are complete with GPS for satellite site location, a video sounder for depth measuring, 3 metres deco-bars, safety air-cylinders, and of course oxygen on board for oxygen therapy.

Equipment available at the CIP Lavandou :

- an air-filling station with a 150 cubic metres an hour capacity.
- an enriched air Nitrox filling station ( up to 40% oxygen ).
- 14 12 litre-cylinders.
- 26 15 litre-cylinders, 230 bars, 2 valves.
- 05 Enriched Air Nitrox cylinders.
- 10 twin cylinders with two valves.
- 30 regulators with pressure gauge and inflator.
- 05 EAN regulators with pressure gauge and inflator.
- 8 regulators with octopus, pressure gauge and inflator.
- 30 BC jackets from size XS to size XXL.
- 50 diving-suits from child-size to size XXL.

The diving-suits, cylinders, stabilizer-jackets and regulators were issued by the Vieux plongeur shop in Marseille.
